The Treasure of the Sierra Madre

Starring Humphrey Bogart, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre follows two men down on their luck. It’s 1925 in Tampico, Mexico. They decide to join a grizzled prospector on his search for gold. Along the way, the trio encounters bandits, the elements, and even greed. This western/adventure film was one of the first to shoot scenes outside of the United States. It was selected for preservation by the National Film Registry in 1990.

Rio Bravo

Released in 1959, Rio Bravo features an all-star cast of Ricky Nelson, Dean Martin, and John Wayne. Sheriff John T. Chance has his hands full after arresting Joe Burdette. He knows that Burdette’s brother will stop at nothing to break him out of jail. But what the brothers don’t know is that Sheriff Chance has his own team ready to keep the criminal where he belongs.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

Called one of the greatest movies of all time, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid keeps viewers in suspense from beginning to end. It tells the story of Butch and Sundance, who are on the run after a string of train robberies. With a posse hot on their trail, they decide to go to Bolivia to continue their life of crime. This film won an Academy Award for “Best Picture” and “Best Original Screenplay” in 1970.
