Stop by the Sicardi/Ayers/Bacino Art Gallery for Latin American Art

Purchase art for your home or just explore the Sicardi/Ayers/Bacino Art Gallery.

Are you looking for a unique piece of art for your home? If so, head to the Sicardi/Ayers/Bacino Art Gallery. Established in 1994, it was one of the first galleries in the country to represent contemporary and avant-garde artists from Latin America. The gallery is located just a short drive away from Tiburon Apartments. Artists not to be missed include:

Graciela Hasper

During a trip to Europe in the late 1980s, Graciela Hasper realized she wanted to pick up a paintbrush. Once home in Argentina, she studied with a well-known artist. She also pursued independent studies in philosophy and art history. Graciela’s paintings are known for their bright colors and sharp orthogonal lines, and they’ve been exhibited in solo exhibitions in both Buenos Aires and New York City.

Maria Fernanda Cardoso

When Colombian native Maria Fernanda Cardoso was a child, she enjoyed nature walks with her father. Using a magnifying glass, she would look closely at the plants and animals they found along the way. These walks sparked Maria’s curiosity of the natural world, which she has continued to explore during her career. Her works are the perfect addition to any home. They include animals arranged in an abstract composition reminiscent of pre-Colombian forms.

Servulo Esmeraldo

According to Servulo Esmeraldo, “Geometry describes everything that you see.” Born in Brazil, he moved to France in the 1950s where he worked and lived in close contact with an expatriate Brazilian community of artists. Servulo’s work has graced the covers of books and record albums. Also, whether it’s in sculpture, printmaking, or kinetic projects, close observation of nature underpins his creations.

There’s plenty to see and do in Houston. After you browse the art gallery, plan a trip to the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center. If you are thinking about calling Tiburon Apartments home, please contact our leasing staff. They would love to give you a tour where you can see all our vibrant community has to offer.
